So I missed just a couple in the last one and I’m starting a new run and want that sweet 100% chest counter this time. Before starting NG+ I went thru all the maps and counted all the chests.
According to this source that the empty chest with the gargoyles in Krosse Cave doesn’t count, but it’s a chest so I’m counting it. It says there are 312 total chests, but it’s wrong, it’s 308, at least in the PS4 remake version, including the gargoyle chest. Indoors chests.
This source says there are 70 overworld chests, 50 in Expel and 20 in Nede, and I have verified it, this list is complete.
Critical note: the chests for Leon’s, Celine’s, and Ashton’s final skill don’t count. I got 100% and did not have Celine or Ashton in my party, and their chests did NOT spawn.
TOTAL = 304 chests, 1 gargoyle chest, 3 chests for Leon/Ashton/Celine = 308 indoors, plus 50 expel overworld and 20 nede overworld, grand total = 378, four specific ones don’t count
Note that on NG+ I saw 3 chests plus Leon’s skill in Phynal 7, but others have seen 4 chests that don’t include Leon’s skill. I cannot account for the difference.
